Where and When we Meet             

SESSION 2009-2010

Welcome to the new session. This year we will continue to meet in "G12 at Gilmorehill, 9 University Avenue". It is located in a converted church hall (the former University examination halls) at the foot of University Avenue and now houses the University's film and theatre complex. Members can still park in the University and walk down University Avenue or exit the campus at Pearce Lodge. Alternatively, parking is available in Kelvin Way.

Members are also asked to note the change to the timings of the meetings. As we will have to vacate G12 at 9pm (unless there is a performance on), the Committee has decided to start the meetings at 7.00 pm in order to allow time for coffee after the lectures. We hope this will not cause too much inconvenience for members. Please note that, as usual, the opening meeting will commence at 7.00 pm with wine and mezedhes.

The subscription for session 2007-2008 is £10.00 (students £2.00), but we ask that you consider the subscription as a minimum contribution; any donation in excess will be gratefully received - and acknowledged.

Please note that the January meeting will take the form of a social event - a vasilopitta evening where we will meet in the Konaki Greek Taverna, cut the New Year cake and enjoy a meal together (details of cost to follow).
